Blown-up images of the microscopic world become art in the lobby of the Genetics/Biotechnology addition. Ahna Skop PhD’00 organized the display, which consists of pictures of UW geneticists’ research. Skop believes that the images show off the beauty of biology. And anyway, she argues, the space needed something. “I’m the daughter of two artists and have an art degree myself,” she says. “When I see a blank wall, I have to do something about it.” Photo: Bryce Richter
