We Love a Parade

Abigail Conley of Madison, age seven, won the Homecoming coloring contest and thus won herself a spot as grand marshal of the 2011 parade. Homecoming celebrated its centennial this year; it was first held in November 1911 as a special event to bring alumni back to campus. The Homecoming Parade, however, didn’t come along until 1913.
